It;s Valve and It's half-life2! Gamespy's PC Game of the Year and most other's. Although in my personal opinion Doom3 is equal or better in some parts judging from how many hours playeed that seems like minutes. But it doesnt stop me from giving this 5/5 stars! (I got the collectors dvd edition, as well as 1 silver and 1 bronze steam accounts). The single player aspect is different than doom3. It's more closer to halo 2; more action, more npc's. 1 thing. Lotsa variety. This is where it beats doom3 and halo2 in. I played many levels here that you stop and be... no they dont really want me to do that... because no other games made the player do such task... and o shit, they are making me do this! It's soo cool! doom3 has nothing like this as far as interaction with the environment. but the experience from doom3 is different as well. half life has a sequence where it has some zombies as well... but it's no where as scary. Needless to say... 1 offer a creepy experience while another offer awesome action and interaction. It's like comparing the movies Exorism and the Rock. Multiplayer. DM! I played it for a month, and boy it's fun! The gravity gun is wicked! Nothing like killing your enemy put hurling the kitchen sink and 'em! I'm a bit dissappointed that after 1 year it's still priced at $39 at most retail stores, and $49 via steam. Doom3 is now $19. Another difference: This game is playable on the 9800 pro. Doom3 is playable with the same card, but you just dont have the same creepy feeling with the details reduced. You really cannot get the full experience with doom3 unless you have a pretty helft system to unleash those demons from hell! Posted by: Xofer on Oct. 19 2005,13:06 good game, I had alot of fun playing it, I wish the last part was ahrder though, it was so easy i almost got bored... after i finished i used the super gravity gun and put on a cheat to have the crossbow with it, i would flick eople at the cieling and then sqwitch to the crossbow and bolt them so they stuck to the cieling, i had fun doing that:) Posted by: wilder on Oct. 19 2005,16:04 The ending was a bit dissappointing, but atleast there was a boss, and some sort of a conclusion... it wasnt as bad as a cliff-hanger as halo. You dont even get to fight a boss as the main character, the master chief! end |
