WHITE on WHITE == any browser other than IE. If you're using firefox or mozilla base browsers, it does not do stylesheets the same as IE. Hence the form will show WHITE instead of dark gray. IT does allow the font for the form to be changed to "WHITE" without changing the bgcolor. Thats why you get white-on-white.
Nothing I can do about it because it's firefox/mozilla/opera compatibility with IE's stylesheets standard. I'll have to re-write the entire template and add javascript to detect the browser so it will adjust for it. --- which I'm not going to do. hehehehe use IE.
