unless amd pulls a miracle, i dont buy amd's anymore, outside of ATI GPU.

technically thats a 64bit cpu, the 72bit, is the memory controller.  The next advancement in cpu would logically be 128bit, but i dont think we'll hit that for another 5 years, and in this economy, probably 10 years, as we're not in a stage where we're squeezing every single penny worth out of existing technology.

The trent is now recycle, go green, efficiency... as long as we're in this trend, we're far from needing 128bit CPU.

nope, amd is out for now.
Intel is in.
Amd needs to get their sh$%$#&t together, or I'm not buying another CPU from them.

Only thing good about amd now is ATI and their SERVER CPUs.  they had 1 good run with Athlon 64 against Pentium 4s, and X2 versus Pentium-Ds... but I wouldnt even call the crap (for midend) they got now any where close to competition to Intel.  All they compete in are the cheap lowend of the market.

They give fancy marketing to crap... but when it comes to side-by-side testing against Intel... they are embarassingly slower.

Look at all the review and comparison... doesnt matter if it's intel fanboys or amd fanboys...

Worst off... you cant run macosx well on an amd.  >:(
