I love this OS.

I've been running it for over 1 year now.  Specifically Vista Ultimate 64 and Business 64.  home premium is a bit disappointing.  Not much issues with it.  I even swap motherboard and the darn thing still runs good.

Do this with XP and you get BSOD, and you're forced to re-install XP.  I'm greatly surprise and amaze at vista.... well atleast 64bit version of it.  Heck... I had an issue for 1 week... and I thought I had yo re-install... it was one of thoise issues where your DVD rom dissappeared.

On XP there was some registry fixes that could work... but if it doesnt you have to re-install... >:(

But so far, with Vista i've been able to easily fix most problems i ran into via google, and havent had to format and rebuild yet.  and it doesnt feel like it runs crippled either.  I was worried when I swamp out the mobo and cpu.  I kept the same HD and it just booted up without any issues.  I had to install different drivers as I went from an nvidia mobo to intel chipset too!

anyone who is prejudice against vista, should really really give it a chance.  if you're going legitimate (no piracy) and dont care to run your ancient software... vista works great when u got 64bit hardware, and modern vista compatible software with it.  Heck it does run most major applications too.

Got one of those no-name apps that downloads piracy, pr0n, etc?  then you might be in trouble as those apps may not run stable on vista.
