Hello there clan people, I've started a topic a bit earlier about how windows 8/8.1 sucks running UT. Well, since I couldn't install Windows 7 or Vista on that machine my parents gave me I've decided to install linux on it because it's the only OS that would bypass the BIOS's security for booting other Os'es. Anyways the linux distro I've installed on that machine is called Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit. Every application that you use like in Windows would work, Firefox and Chrome are there! (except IE). There's this application called Wine that runs on top of Ubuntu. It makes some windows apps run on linux -- I thought that UT would never work under wine but I was wrong! It runs pretty well, I didn't test Unreal Editor still.
I am happy now that I have a more stable environment to work through and play games.. Take that Windows!
P.S - I recommend installing Ubuntu, it's much more safer and GUI friendly than Windows. Btw it's free!

there is also a UT for linux... i gave it to a friend a while back. works really good.

I knew that there was a version for linux too, but I couldn't find it. I've looked through all torrent sites and google. What I get is how to install the game instructions and how to extract files with the terminal.  At least I can play through Wine though.
